Here's What Happened At Music Matters 2011

With over 1,200 participants from 30 countries including 176 speakers and over 40 bands, Digital Matters, Music Matters and Music Matters Live with HP rocked Singapore from 24th May to 28th May 2011.

Now into its sixth year the entertainment industry descended on Singapore for the first time, gathering at the five-star Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore Hotel and at music venues in and around Clarke Quay.

The phenomenal success of a truly global conference dedicated to the business of digital and live entertainment surpassed our own expectations and is clearly seen in the numbers:

Music Matters for Japan: In support of the Japan disaster victims, the bands and artists performing at the festival participated in rerecording a unique medley of Cold Play’s “Fix You” track which will be released globally. In just 48 hours, the artists, producers and studio generously contributed their talents to show that music can make a difference. 100% of the proceeds of the track will be donated to Japan Red Cross and Peace Boat, non-profit organizations that are actively helping victims rebuild their lives. To listen to the re-recorded track please refer to the Top right of this page and stream the sound cloud link.

Digital Matters and Music Matters is produced by, with and for the music and digital entertainment industry and we want to say a sincere THANK YOU to everyone who contributed greatly to the success of 2011. We look forward to seeing you all in 2012 and a special “Gambare Nippon!” to our friends in Japan.
